May 13th UPDATE:

216! That’s the total number of pairs of sneakers Mary Lin families recycled via Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program. These awesome Mary Lin students delivered 11 huge bags of used sneakers to Niketown where they’ll be ground up and recycled into sports fields and playground surfaces! Big thanks to Julie Roseman, Merri Neff, Jennifer Silver, Jenny Rutherford and Mary Lin students Molly Silver, Lily Neff and Nai Abboushi for sneaker wrangling and counting. Thanks to all of you that participated! #gogreen #renewreuserecycle#everydayisearthday

Bring us your old stinky sneakers! In celebration of Earth Day, we are collecting and recycling used athletic shoes during morning drop off and pick up in front of school from April 24-28th. Thanks!

Playground Work Day – Spring Break!

Thanks to all the hardworking families and Cub Scout Pack 586 for coming out to our Playground Work Day on the last day of Spring Break! We owe a big thank you to Georgia Landscape Supply for their very generous donation of mulch. Parents and students mulched, picked up garbage, re-cemented the Giant Chess Set and fixed other parts of our beautiful playground.

Did you see our new water fountain? Our students can stay hydrated while having fun on our Mary Lin playground.

Additional thanks to Jane Smith, Sam Heys, Bill Gordon, Annsley Klehr and Julie Roseman for setting up today’s Playground Work Day.
